Free YouTube CPM Calculator — Calculate Cost Per Mille
The FlowShorts YouTube CPM Calculator is a free tool that calculates your YouTube CPM (Cost Per Mille) from your ad revenue and monetized views. It also provides a CPM benchmarks table across 15 niches with region-adjusted rates, helping you understand how your CPM compares to industry averages. CPM is what advertisers pay per 1,000 ad impressions — to see what you actually earn, check your RPM (which is after YouTube's 45% cut). No signup required.
How It Works
Use the CPM Calculator tab to calculate your actual CPM from your YouTube Studio revenue and monetized view data. Use the CPM Benchmarks tab to browse average CPM rates by niche and see how audience region affects CPM. The tool also shows estimated RPM (your earnings after YouTube's 45% cut) for each niche.
YouTube CPM Rates by Niche (2026)
YouTube CPM varies widely by niche. Finance & Insurance advertisers pay $27-$55 CPM. Legal channels see $33-$55. Real Estate gets $36-$64. Tech & Software commands $18-$36. Education is $15-$27. Health is $15-$29. These are advertiser CPM rates — your RPM (earnings) is roughly 55% of CPM after YouTube's revenue share.
CPM vs RPM Explained
CPM is what advertisers pay per 1,000 ad impressions. RPM is what creators earn per 1,000 total views. RPM is always lower than CPM because: (1) YouTube takes 45% of ad revenue, and (2) not all views are monetized (some viewers use ad blockers or watch non-monetized content). To estimate RPM from CPM, multiply CPM by 0.55 and adjust for your monetized view ratio.
